United Robotics Group presents first service Cobiot Plato for the HoReCa industry at Internorga 2023

• Plato, a robot designed for humans, provides relief and support for employees in the hotel and catering industry - less musculoskeletal disorders and more capacities for guests and customer service 
• Forward-looking service automation concept to be experienced live at the fair 
• Plato meets industrial safety standards, interacts with humans without adaptation of the environment, and is the only Cobiot certified according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG

 

Bochum/Hamburg – February 9, 2023 – A highlight of this year's Internorga which takes place in Hamburg from 10 to 14 March is Plato, the first service Cobiot (robot for humans) from the United Robotics Group. Plato will be shown live and in action in hall A3 at booth 125/126. Internorga, the leading international trade fair for the entire out-of-home market, is an innovator and hotspot for trends, visionary concepts and new products and services.

Plato supports service staff in the hotel and catering industry with a variety of routine tasks – from serving and delivering to clearing the dishes. Thereby, he moves independently between guests. This allows staff to focus on customer service and social interaction. Physical relief also plays an important role: in the catering industry, strain on the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue is one of the most common causes of absenteeism.

With Plato and our CobiotX approach, we have revolutionised the way humans and robots interact - with real added value for employees, as it opens up new freedom for sophisticated service. Plato was developed and is produced in Europe. It combines functions of both industrial and humanoid service robots with a human-robot interface. The Cobiot is specialised for lively environments such as restaurants. It has an autonomous mobile platform and an intelligent navigation system specifically for indoor environments. Plato is the only certified service robot that complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG, which is mandatory in the EU market. It aims at the free circulation of robots in an uncontrolled and changing environment and at the protection of service workers and consumers. It is DSGVO compliant and offers a high level of data protection.

At Internorga 2023 visitors will have the opportunity to convince themselves of the versatile capabilities and ease handling of Plato and to talk to experts from the United Robotics Group about the CobiotX approach, concept, technology and the prospects for using Cobiot.
