United Robotics Group presents humanoid robot uMe for the first time at CES 2026

The technological prototype complements the portfolio of mobile service and healthcare robots and is fully integrated into the uGo+ platform.

Stuhr, January 6, 2026 – United Robotics Group (URG) is presenting its humanoid robot uMe for the first time at CES 2026. The technological prototype complements the existing portfolio of mobile service and healthcare robots and shows how humanoid robotics can be meaningfully integrated into real working environments. At the trade fair, uMe demonstrates first core functions such as voice-based interaction, pre-programmed movement sequences and sensor-based perception. These include high-resolution cameras, depth sensors, a microphone array and an interactive display on which content and dialogue can be shown. On the software side, uMe is fully integrated into the URG platform uGo+ and was designed from the outset to fit seamlessly into existing data flows, device connections and workflows.

Humanoid robotics for education, care and research

As the humanoid extension of the portfolio, uMe primarily addresses environments in which social interaction and accessibility are central. These include educational institutions, where uMe supports learning content and makes technical concepts tangible, and care environments, where the robot accompanies routines and provides relieving support through conversation, activation and orientation. uMe also opens up new possibilities for research teams developing and testing robotic functions.

Not the spectacular, but the practical benefit

uGo+ as the central software platform between hardware and application

uMe is fully integrated into the uGo+ software platform, which connects mobile and humanoid robotic systems through a shared architecture. uGo+ is deliberately designed as a user-centered platform that is continuously evolving and is intended to take on a clear no-code character in future. The goal is to enable users to configure and adapt robotics workflows independently, safely and without programming knowledge. Alongside the humanoid prototype uMe, the further development of uGo+ is one of United Robotics Group's central development priorities, as this is where the bridge between hardware, concrete applications and everyday usability is built.

uMe is also designed as an open, extensible platform, offering partners from industry, research and education the opportunity to develop their own modules, test functions and pilot new scenarios. This creates a seamless interplay between the software platform and specialized robotic systems, which already include uLab Mobile, uServe, uLog and uClean — several specialized service robots for laboratory, clinical and logistics environments. Together they form an end-to-end system in which mobile and humanoid robotics can work together through a shared infrastructure.
