The payload class nobody serves

In the German market, heavy-load automation starts at 600 kg, often only at 1,000. Below that lies a gap: trolleys, small racks, mesh boxes, laundry carts, material carriers – too light for a heavy-load AGV, too heavy and too frequent for manual handling.

Our answer: uLog Lift. The robot drives under the load carrier, lifts it, drives and sets it down. No repacking, no special pallet, no construction project.

What an under-ride AMR does

An under-ride AMR is an autonomous mobile robot that drives underneath load carriers, lifts them and transports them instead of pulling or transloading them. uLog Lift covers stepped payloads up to 300 kg and is orchestrated through uGo+.

A robot working in your organisation sees and hears things that are nobody’s business outside it. That is why the AI processing runs on the device and not in someone else’s cloud. A permanent internet connection is not required for operation — closed hospital, care and laboratory networks are possible. What is created with you stays with you: you decide on storage, analysis and deletion. Through uGo+ you define who may start which tasks, and mission reports are auditable — the basis for a data protection impact assessment, for the works council and for the authorities.

Buy or rent: Robot-as-a-Service

You can buy or rent as Robot-as-a-Service. With rental you pay a recurring monthly rate covering hardware, software maintenance and service together — from the operating budget instead of the capital budget. This is the usual route for a pilot and for a step-by-step rollout across several sites.

An honest note: rental is not automatically cheaper than purchase — it shifts risk and timing. What adds up for your organisation depends on term, quantity, funding options and budget structure. We work through that openly with you in the first conversation instead of selling you a model. We do not publish prices, because configuration and integration scope decide the outcome — a figure without that context would be misleading.

Frequently asked questions

Which payloads does uLog Lift cover?

The series comprises variants up to 300 kg plus a base variant as a platform. That places it below classic heavy-load AGVs, which typically only start at 600 to 1,000 kg.

Does the hall need rebuilding?

No. The robot navigates autonomously in existing aisles. What is required are suitable load carriers with under-ride clearance and drivable, largely unobstructed routes.

What is the difference from a forklift with a driver?

The AMR drives recurring, plannable routes – reliably, without breaks and documented. Special cases, heavy loads and improvisation stay with people.

How are tasks controlled?

Through the uGo+ platform: routes, schedules, permissions and analysis. A connection to your warehouse management system is assessed per project.

Can the AMR be rented?

Yes, as Robot-as-a-Service with a monthly rate from the operating budget.

The pallet does not wait for the forklift.

In most operations the bottleneck is not the machine but the route between machines. Material is ready, but nobody has time to fetch it right now.

Under-ride AMRs and lifting robots pick up carts, roll containers and load carriers directly and bring them where they are needed — without reloading, without fixed conveyor technology, without touching the building fabric.

This is deliberately unspectacular. It does not replace people, it replaces the waiting time in front of the machine. And it can be rented rather than capitalised.
