The humanoid trade-show ambassador everyone is talking about.

uMe greets visitors, tells your product story and makes robotics tangible right at your booth — prepared, staffed and dismantled again. Exhibitors book the appearance for their stand; trade-show operators and organisers offer it to their exhibitors as a service of their own.

From eye-catcher to real conversation opener

Win attention

uMe draws eyes, invites a photo moment and opens the conversation at your booth naturally. Walking past turns into standing still.

Explain brand and product

Greeting, key messages and frequent questions are agreed in advance and then told consistently — in English and German, equally well from the first hour to the last.

Produce content

Short show slots and live interaction deliver photo and video material for social media, press and your own trade-show communication.

Offer it as your own service

Venue operators and organizers book the appearance not for a single booth but for their whole venue: as an add-on in the exhibitor package, as a welcome at the entrance or as a program item in the conference area.

How a trade-show deployment runs

Briefing

Your goal for the show, the audience, languages, booth area and the interactions you want are clarified. After that it is settled what the deployment should do — and what it should not.

Content setup

Greeting, product story, up to five frequent questions and an agreed demo sequence are prepared and tested.

Set-up and dress rehearsal

Delivery, a safe booth area, power connection and a full rehearsal before the first show day.

Live operation

Your team takes over after a briefing of up to two hours — or one of our robot specialists accompanies the show days throughout. With the spare battery included, operation runs the whole show day.

Two ways to use it

As an exhibitor you book uMe for your booth. We prepare the greeting, the product story and the most frequent questions for your appearance, deliver, set up and brief your booth team – or accompany the show days from start to finish.

As a venue operator or organizer you take the appearance into your own service portfolio. You offer your exhibitors something no booth builder supplies, and you can use uMe for your own venue beyond that: as a welcome at the entrance, as a guide through themed areas or as a program item in the conference section. Booking, content and support run through us; the customer relationship stays with you.

What is included

  • Prepared dialogue. An individual greeting, an agreed brand or product story and up to five frequent questions.

  • Two languages. English and German are part of the standard scope, further languages on request.

  • A clear demo sequence. A defined routine your booth team knows and can trigger at any time.

  • Activation and charging plan. We plan in advance when uMe is active and when it charges – matched to your show hours.

  • Set-up, dress rehearsal and teardown. Delivery, configuration of the booth area, a full rehearsal before the first show day.

  • Lead capture. Contact details and business cards from interested visitors are collected at the booth and handed over to you.

  • Support as you choose. A briefing for your team, or continuous accompaniment by a robot specialist.

Technical basis and operating conditions

  • Humanoid platform, 1.20 m (3 ft 11 in) tall, 23 degrees of freedom, voice pick-up via a 6-microphone ring array

  • AI processing on an NVIDIA AGX Orin inside the robot – perception is processed on the device

  • Around six hours of active time per battery (depending on use); a spare battery is included and swapped in seconds – which secures continuous operation across the show day

  • Indoor use, a dry and level surface, a defined booth area; minimum aisle width 900 mm (35 in)

  • A mains connection at the booth and a stable network connection

  • CE declaration of conformity under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, designed to ISO 13482 (personal care robots). The requirements that apply at your specific venue we review case by case before the deployment.

Your robot. Your data.

Perception runs on the device, and that data stays with you. uMe is a host, not a surveillance system: no visitor profiles are built in the background, and anyone who simply walks past is not recorded. Contact details are only captured when a visitor actively hands them over – and they go to you, not to us. What is shown, said and stored at the booth is what you define in the briefing.

What a deployment costs

Both package prices cover three show days. Delivery, set-up, configuration and teardown are included. Insurance runs through United Robotics Group and is part of the package price; we do not ask for a deposit. All prices are in US dollars and exclusive of duties, taxes and freight.

Logistics in the United States is built as an add-on, together with our engineers, and quoted customer by customer. Distances, venue rules, customs and on-site handling differ too much between shows for a flat rate to be honest. We scope it with you before you commit, and you see the figure in the quotation.

Not included: booth space and access badges, exceptional show logistics, overnight accommodation for the robot specialist on long journeys, individual interfaces to your systems, and insurance beyond the standard scope.

Longer shows, further languages, additional on-site preparation days and short-notice bookings are quoted individually. Whatever is added, we tell you beforehand – not on the invoice.

Venue operators and organizers have their own terms: anyone calling off several deployments a year, or building the service permanently into their exhibitor offer, receives framework terms instead of single prices. Talk to us about it.

Frequent questions

Can uMe run a full show day without a break?
Yes. A spare battery is included and swapped in seconds, which secures operation across the entire show day. Active time per battery is up to six hours, depending on use.

Do we absolutely need a robot specialist on site?
No. For clearly defined routines your booth team can take over after a briefing. With high visitor traffic, long days, or when the appearance is central to your show communication, we recommend continuous accompaniment.

What content is prepared?
In the standard scope: a greeting, a product or brand story, up to five frequent questions and an agreed demo sequence. Custom skills, interfaces to your systems or extensive content production are agreed separately.

Can uMe be used outdoors?
No. It is intended for indoor use. We check flooring, walkways, power supply and booth area in advance.

We are a venue operator – how does this work for us?
You take the deployment into your exhibitor offer as an add-on service. We supply technology, preparation and staff; you remain the contact for your exhibitors. Terms, lead times and capacity we settle in a short conversation.

What do you need in order to quote?
The show, location, dates, number of show days, show hours, booth size, the languages you want, the planned content and the kind of support you want. Plus one contact each for marketing and for technology.

How is delivery handled in the US?
As an add-on, scoped with our engineers and quoted per customer. Freight, customs, drayage and venue handling vary from show to show, so we price the actual route rather than a flat allowance. You see the figure before you commit.

Is the robot insured, and do we need a deposit?
Insurance runs through United Robotics Group and is included in the package price. We do not ask for a deposit. In the event of damage, a deductible of $4,640 applies.

We are booking at short notice – is that possible?
Yes, provided the date is free. With less than 14 days' lead time we charge an express surcharge of 10 to 15 percent, because preparation, content and staff planning then have to run in parallel.

Until when can we cancel or rebook?
Up to 14 days before delivery you can cancel or rebook free of charge. After that we charge the full package price; if you rebook to another date within six months, only the express surcharge applies.
